Tower Engineering Group
Working within tight time lines, CSL was required to construct a concrete tank farm compound outside the building, rework the structural concrete slab and helical piles inside the building for the new process equipment, construct a new electrical vault, install a state-of-the-art fire protection system, and manage the installation of the new process equipment.
It immediately became apparent that the process drawings generating by a process engineering firm had significant gaps. To address this issue, CSL worked closely with Black and McDonald to coordinate the detailed construction schedule to achieve the original start-up date.
CSL also performed a thorough analysis of repairing the existing (old) tanks versus the cost of replacing them. This also included a revised installation schedule of replacement versus repairing to meet the client's start-up date. The recommendation was to replace existing storage tanks with new ones, saving the client significant money.
